FIFA has chosen Morocco to be the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup’s host nation.
The event will take place in February 2023. NoAt a press conference in Doha, Infantino informed the media that the event, which will make a third trip to Morocco, will take place from February 1 to February 11, 2023.
FIFA Club World Cup was staged in Morocco in 2013, again in 2014, and most recently in the United Arab Emirates in February, with Chelsea taking home the championship trophy.
The competition is expected to continue in its current format for the time being, with the top team from the host country competing against the champions of the six continental federations.
Real Madrid who won the 2014 Club World Cup in Morocco, will represent Europe after winning last season’s UEFA Champions League.
Flamengo of Brazil, Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, Wydad Casablanca of Morocco, Seattle Sounders from the United States and New Zealand’s Auckland City are the other current continental champions.
