Liverpool star Mohammed Salah has been criticised for posting a picture of his family with a Christmas tree on Twitter.
The Egyptian captain, who is a Muslim has made it a point of duty to share his family pictures on social media to feliciatate with his Christian fans every festive period.
It doesn’t seem to go down well with his fans, who are Muslims as they have taken to Twitter to slam him, while some also threatened to unfollow him and Liverpool.
Salah and his wife, Magi and daughters Makka and Kayan posed in matching pyjamas for annual Christmas post on Twitter.
Below are the fans reactions.
‘Mo Salah, I loved you as a madrid fan. I viewed you as an excellent player and you always inspired me. However, after this tweet, I can no longer view you as my role model.
Another said: ‘I’ve been a Liverpool fan since I was born but I will stop supporting the club because you are celebrating Christmas with the Christians. You’ve just lost me as a fan Mo Salah. Goodbye!’
