Mimisen Iyorhe is a Benue born referee under the Benue State Referees council and a graduate of the Tafawa Balewa University.
She’s one of the few Nigerian referees, both genders combined, that has international recognition.
Iyorhe, who has a FIFA Badge, is also on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) list of referees.
Iyorhe who is now 38 years, is one of the 8 African match officials that will officiate at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup that will hold in Costa Rica in August, 2022.
Mimisen, who was formerly a business woman, also officiated in the just concluded WAFCON finals where South Africa emerged winners against Morocco.
Speaking after the final, “it has been 3 days and it still feels surreal. I, Mimisen Agatha Julia Iyorhe Calvin-Onwuka officiated the WAFCON finals? Somebody wake me up!”
