Marvel Studios have released the trailer for the sequel to the much loved Black Panther that was released back in 2018.
The new movie which is titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to drop in theaters later this year, November 11, 2022.
In the sombre-toned trailer, murals of Black Panther, T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020, could be seen in some shots.
It was gathered that Marvel chose not to recast T’Challa’s character, but instead chose to focus on the other characters which include, Shuri (Letitia Wright), Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), and Okoye (Danai Gurira), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Ayo (Florence Kasumba), and the rest of the Dora Milaje, Riri Williams (Dominque Thorne), Michaela Coel, and Martin Freeman.
Marvel movies are not doing so well in Phase 4, after the cataclysmic end to the Infinity Saga which marked the end to Phase 3.
The new movies after that, like The Eternals performed poorly at the box office. While Thor 4: Love and Thunder has also received less than stellar reviews from critics. Those who have seen the movie claim the movie leaned more towards humour, even though Chris Hemsworth’s co-star and love interest, Natalie Portman, died of cancer in the movie.
