Manchester United has announced that star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo will be dropped for the game against Chelsea on Saturday.
Switch Nigeria reported that an angry Ronaldo walked off the pitch while the game between United and Tottenham was still on.
It was later revealed that the former Real Madrid forward refused to come on as a substitute.
“Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad against Chelsea after he refused to come on as a substitute against Spurs and left Old Trafford before the final whistle,” reports Laurie Whitwell of the Athletic.
“Worth emphasising that Erik ten Hag would want Cristiano Ronaldo as part of his squad. But has to be on his terms as manager. He has rules + principles, togetherness being key. So consequences follow.
