Premier League club Manchester City have verbally agreed a deal for Portuguese midfielder Mattheus Nunes this current summer transfer window.
The Cityzens are set to disburse the sum of £47.3 million for the 25 year old Wolverhampton Wanderers player.
According to BBC.com there will be no add-ons included if he is eventually signed on a contract. City made a bid for Nunes last week but the offer was rejected.
Nunes has been missing Wolverhampton Wanderers warmup sessions recently as he is determined to move to Manchester this season.
City are on the lookout for a new midfielder following Kevin De Bruyne’s long term injury.
The Pep Guardiola led side were keen on West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta but the Brazilian is currently under investigation by the FA after potentially breaking betting rules.
This current summer transfer window is set to close on Friday September 1.
Nunes transferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2022. He signed a five year contract with the club.
He has made two Premier League appearances this season. Wolves are 15th on the Premier League standings with three points from three games.
Manchester City are first on the Premier League table with nine points after three games in the division.
