Former France and PSG coach, Laurent Blanc has emerged one of the top coaches recommended to the NFF as the next manager of the Super Eagles.
Also on the list of candidates recommended are Ernesto Valverde, Philip Cocu and José Peseiro.
Philip Cocu, 51, a Dutch man, was recently employed by Derby County but is now without a job.
Ernesto Valverde on the other hand recently coached Barcelona from 2017-2020. At 58, the Spaniard won two La Liga trophies during his time with the Catalans.
On 19 December 2020, Laurent Blanc, 56, was appointed as the head coach of Qatari club Al-Rayyan, replacing Uruguayan Diego Aguirre. On 13 February 2022, he was terminated because of poor results and replaced by Nicolás Córdova. He has also coached PSG, and the France National team.
The oldest name on the list, however, is Jose Peseiro, the 62-year-old Portuguese former manager of Porto and Sporting CP, who was supposed to replace Gernot Rhor before he failed to agree to some of the terms the NFF included in the contract agreement back in February.
The list emerged on Monday, courtesy of New Telegraph. It remains to be seen who the Glass House will appoint.
