Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, has stated that the state’s prosperity depends on the cooperation of traditional leaders.
At the coronation of His Royal Majesty Oba Olayemi Adebambo, the new king of the Araromi kingdom, which took place at the Araromi playground in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos, Sanwo-Olu spoke.
Abiola Olowu, his Special Advisor on Commerce, Industry, and Cooperatives, served as his representative.
The governor was reported as saying in a state government statement: “This administration has demonstrated the importance of our revered kings in several ways and I promise to support the traditional rulers and give them what they require to function effectively.”
The governor then praised the Araromi natives for the king’s orderly ascent to the throne and urged them to support him for the stability and advancement of the kingdom and the state as a whole.
The new king claimed that while getting to the throne was not simple, God’s will ultimately prevailed.
In order to advance Araromi, he pleaded with all families to maintain peace. He also exhorted the kingdom’s landowners to begin putting their land to use.
