Thaddeus Attah won with 24,075 votes, beating Banky W of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 18,666 votes and the incumbent APC candidate who polled 16,901 votes.
Attah hails from Kogi state and is not even known, compared to the singer.
Most of the voters decided to vote Labour Party from top to bottom, not minding who the candidate is.
