The Governor of the United States State of Connecticut, Ned Lamont has bragged about his state’s chances of improving their economy, now that the Supreme Court has ruled to allow states decide on the issue of abortion.
In the historic ruling some weeks back, the apex court of the Free World ruled on Roe v Wade, stopping stopping Federal Government from sponsoring the murder of unborn babies.
The ruling means states can now decide to abolish abortion or uphold it. And states like Connecticut are one of those who still believe women have the right over their bodies, rights which should be upheld over and above the right of the unborn baby to live.
In a letter signed by the Governor, Lamont, he said “Now more than ever is the time to look at Connecticut as the future home of your business.”
“The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade means that access to reproductive rights will be decided by individual states,” he added.
“There are far-reaching implications for businesses and workers located in states likely to severely limit access to [abortion] in the coming weeks. We are writing to any business owner that is disappointed in the stance of their current state. If you are looking to relocate to a state that supports the rights of women and whose actions and laws are unwavering in support of tolerance and inclusivity, Connecticut is for you.”
Lamont implied that most Americans support abortion on demand, continuing, “Customers and employees alike will be attracted to states that protect reproductive rights for all. We’re the most family-friendly state in America with access to the best childcare you can find anywhere and a paid family medical leave program that provides necessary time for workers to care for loved ones.”
According to Life News, a website dedicated to fighting abortion and promoting the rights of the unborn, in 2019, a total of 9,202 unborn babies were aborted in Connecticut, according to the Charlotte Lozier Institute.
Since Roe in 1973, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers have died in supposedly “safe,” legal abortions. The infamous ruling forces states to legalize abortions for any reason up to viability and allows abortions for any reason up to birth. Now, states are starting to protect unborn babies from abortion again.
Groups like Life are called PRO-LIFE while those who support the killing of unborn babies are called PRO-CHOICE(meaning the mother’s choice to keep or kill the baby). The later believes life starts at birth, while the former hold that life starts at conception.
