Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has been declared as the Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Sokoto South.
By this token, Tambuwal is now seeking to represent seven local government areas in the red chamber come 2023.
The local government areas are: Bodinga, Dange/Shuni, Kebbe, Shagari, Tambuwal, Tureta and Yabo local government areas.
Recall that the Sokoto governor had vied for the PDP presidential primary ticket but stepped down during the convention for former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, who eventually won the election.
