The Academic Staff Union of Universities have been ordered by the National Industrial Court to call off its strike.
Switch Nigeria reports that the academic body has been on strike since February.
The lecturers have, amongst other things, been trying to get the Federal Government to improve the funding for universities and review salaries for lecturers.
However, the Federal Government and the ASUU have so far failed to reach an agreement.
According to the Cable, the Federal Government’s counsol, James Igwe, prayed the court for an interlocutory injunction restraining ASUU from taking further steps as regards the strike, pending the determination of the substantive suit.
