Chelsea midfielder, N’golo Kante has narrated how he got his name and his life before football.
The former Leicester City player said he was named after an ancient Mali King, N’golo, who rose to kingship from humble beginnings.
“My parents called me N’golo because it is the name of an ancient king in Mali. A King who started from below to conquer a kingdom.
He added that he used to collect refuse before he took to football.
“I used to collect garbage before. Today I play football and they watch me on TV. My story is also beautiful, I started from below.”
Manchester United are considering the French man, although it looks unlikely that Chelsea will sell. The Stamford Bridge side are also looking to rebuild like the Mancunians, following an abysmal season, with Chelsea getting a new owner in the form of Todd Boehly and United getting a new manager in the form of Erik Ten Hag.
