Presidential candidate of the Labour Party(LP), Peter Obi has condoled with former Senate President, David Mark over the death of his first son, Tunde Jonathan Mark.
Tunde Mark died in the early hours of October 21 at the age of 51 in the United Kingdom (UK) after a protracted battle with cancer.
His corpse is expected to be flown back to the country in the coming days for burial.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Obi said he is deeply saddened by such an “irreplaceable loss,” adding that he shares in such in their pain, praying that God will comfort him, his family, and all who mourn the late son.
The LP presidential candidate also prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest.
The former Anambra governor disclosed that though, he did not meet the former senate president at home during his visit, he however conveyed his sincere condolences to him and his family over such a painful experience.
“Recently, I visited the home of my friend and elder brother, Senator David Mark, to condole with him over the death of his first son, Tunde Jonathan Mark,” Obi wrote.
“Though I did not meet him at home, I conveyed our sincere condolences to him and his family over such a painful experience.
“I am deeply saddened by such irreplaceable loss. I share in their pain and pray that God will comfort him, his family, and all who mourn the late son. May God grant the deceased eternal rest.”
Brief Biography Of Tunde Mark
The deceased was born on the 13th of October 1971 in Otukpo.
He attended Yaba Military School which is located in Yaba, Lagos where he obtained his first school leaving certificate.
Tunde Mark later proceeded to Fernden Prep School, Haslemere, Surrey, in the UK where he attended Secondary school.
Tunde is a Biochemist who obtained a B.Sc degree from Kings College, London.
He studied immunology alongside biochemistry and later Biological Sciences at the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Harvard, and Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was married to the daughter of a Chinese senator and blessed with a daughter.
