Gunmen Hijack Kaduna-bound Train, Bomb rail track

On Monday, some terrorists reportedly attacked an Abuja-bound train, striking fear in the hearts of passengers.

According to a former Kaduna State Senator, Shehu Sani, the train was moving from Abuja to Kaduna along the Abuja-Kaduna railway when the incident took place.

It was gathered that the terrorists detonated explosives on the rail track, before successfully bringing it to a stop.

Villagers around Katari and Rijana said the gunmen opened fire on the train, shooting sporadically.

“Villagers along Abuja-Kaduna road called to confirm hearing multiple gunshots and attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train by terrorists,” Sani wrote on Twitter.

Channels Television reported that some passengers aboard the train were abducted, whole others were injured.
