Akindele noted that she remained a testament by not giving up on life while encountering adversity, and she advised people to have confidence in God and cast their ballots on election day.
As the general elections draw near, Funke Akindele, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for the position of deputy governor of Lagos State, visited the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Ibukun-Olu Parish Aleke Circuit Headquarters in Ikorodu.
The mother of two said during her visit that only God could address all of man’s issues, but she promised that if elected, she and the flag-bearer, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, would reign with a fear of God in order to lessen the suffering of the people.
Akindele noted that she remained a testament by not giving up on life while encountering adversity, and she advised people to have confidence in God and cast their ballots on election day.
“Today, I’m really content and want to give God praise for my life’s accomplishments. Instead of coming here today to campaign for office, I came to worship with you as family and CCC members and give thanks to God. Just give thanks to God and ask that I don’t face difficulties that are greater than I can handle,” she stated.
She continued by saying that if the party wins the upcoming election, it will attract more domestic and international investors to the Ikorodu region.
The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate also visited various communities, including Imota, and Odogunyan among others to seek support.
