Fulani herdsmen have again attacked a Benue community, killing no fewer than 14 persons.
The incident which took place in Mchia, a community located in Logo Local Government Area of the State, was confirmed by the State Police Command.
According to the PRO of the Command, SP Sewuese Anene said “There was an attack in the community on Wednesday night. Our team is already on the ground to assess the situation but they have not sent in a report yet.”
Recall that a similar incident occurred back in April when herders attacked Tiortyu in Tarka Local Government Area of the State and killed many.
Governor Samuel Ortom recently formed the Benue State Volunteer Guard and equipped them with patrol vans and vowed to arm them with weapons to tackle insecurity.
Ortom has also told his people to defend themselves, as the Federal Government has failed to do so.
