Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has called the Federal Government’s claim that Nigeria gulps 70 million litres of fuel/day fraudulent.
Saraki who hails from Kwara State said 30 million to 40 million/day is more like it.
Saraki who revealed this on a Channels Television program said, “We cannot be consuming more than 30 million to 40 million litres and it is obvious there is racketeering in the oil sector.”
He further alleged that “some people are benefitting and there is no way we are consuming 70 million litres,” noting that Nigeria is in a problem “because a few people are benefiting but the politicians are fixated on the 2023 elections.”
