Four University of Idaho students have been reportedly killed in a ‘crime of passion’ incident, authorities say.
The students whose names were given as Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen, were found dead with multiple knife wounds in their off campus apartment in the universality town of Moscow, Idaho.
CRIME OF PASSION
A crime of passion, in popular usage, refers to a violent crime, especially homicide, in which the perpetrator commits the act against someone because of sudden strong impulse such as anger rather than as a premeditated crime.
Authorities say no “evidence indicates that this was a targeted attack.”
The police have referred to it as crime of passion and have are unable to pinpoint what exactly happened. They suspect burglary gone wrong or breaking and entering.
No suspect has been arrested yet, even though the incident took place since Sunday.
A source close to one of the deceased said it was a stabbing and that there was blood everywhere, even dripping through the sides of the house.
