Four adults, two men, two women, have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for conniving and selling a three month old baby.
The four adults were paraded by the police on Thursday and will be properly investigated by the State Criminal Investigations Department(SCID).
According to a statement released by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the PRO of Lagos State Police Command, the gang of four suspects that were arrested included the father who connived with his doctor and a nurse to sell the baby to a woman for the cost of N400, all without the knowledge of the baby’s mother.
The police however noted that the baby has been found, hale and hearty.
The police statement read, “A father (pic1) connived with his doctor (pic2) & a nurse (pic3) & sold his three-month-old baby to a woman (pic4) for N400k without the knowledge of the mother. After days of searching, the Police was informed. All suspects arrested. Baby is safe. SCID to prosecute the suspects.”
The police, however withheld the names of the culprits, pending further investigation.
