Legal practitioner and human right activist Mr. Malcolm Omirhobo has stated that former president Olusegun Obasanjo has nothing to be jealous of the government of president Muhammadu Buhari.
This is coming on the heels of a strong worded statement issued by the presidency through it’s spokesperson Mallam Garba Shehu, in response to the recent endorsement of Mr. Peter Obi by Obasanjo for the 2023 presidential election.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) led government had lampooned the former head of state for endorsing the former Anambra governor for the 2023 presidential election, an act it called inconsequential and his jealousy of the achievements of the government of president Buhari.
Responding to the statement, Omirhobo tweeted @malcolminfiniti, his official Twitter handle that though the PDP led government of President Obasanjo was without blemish, Buhari is running an animal farm akin to George Orwell’s novel of the same name, where lives of cows matters more than the life of Nigerians.
Nigerians have also being reacting to the response by the presidency, some calling out the Buhari led government for hypocrisy, having received a similar endorsement from the former president at Ota Farm before the 2015 elections, which Buhari eventually won against the then incumbent Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
