Arsenal failed to Extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to ten points as they were held at home to third place Newcastle United on Tuesday night.
Arsenal started brightly on the night at the Emirates, the gunners had five shots to Newcastle’s zero in the opening 10 minutes, but failed to find the breakthrough.
Newcastle United then grew into the game but Arsenal’s press limited chances creation for the away side as both teams ended the half having a shot on target each.
Arsenal resumed the second half on the front foot, their constant pressure produced lots of chances upon chances but the lead leaders failed to find the back of the net.
Nick Pope saved a shot late on from inform striker Eddie Nketiah as Newcastle dug deep to earn a point at the Emirates stadium.
The draw still places Arsenal on top of the lead table with 44 points from 17 games, while the gunners also stretched their lead at the top to 8 points above second place Manchester City who travel to Stamford Bridge to face Strugglers Chelsea on Thursday.
