EPL: Marcus Rashford’s winner Moves Manchester United in to Top 4
Manchester United continued their impressive form post World Cup with a 1-0 win away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday lunchtime.
The Gameweek 18 fixture saw Erik Ten Hag’s men start the encounter on the front foot, as Alexandra Garnacho missed a sitter in the 17th minute, he was set up by his teammate and his shot was saved by Jose Sa.
Wolves held on despite United’s pressure at the closing stages as both teams went into the break failing to find the back of the net.
Manchester United then find the breakthrough as substitute Marcus Rashford plays a one-two with Bruno Fernandes and finishes under Jose Sa in the 76th minute.
Marcus Rashford has the ball in the net for Man Utd, but after consulting the VAR, referee Robert Jones has overturned the goal because he scored with an accidental handball in the 85th minute.
The win puts Manchester United into top four ahead of Tottenham Hotspur who plays Aston Villa on Sunday.
