Mohammed Salah Scored and made one as Liverpool restarted their campaign, recording an away league win to Aston Villa in a gameweek 16 encounter of the English Premier League on Monday evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s Men, who aimed to overturn their poor league start, traveled to Villa park on the back of a two game winning run in the league.
Mohammed Salah who was under scrutiny from fans after posting a family Christmas photo on Saturday scored his seventh goal of the campaign after meeting a delicious ball from Andy Robertson’s pass in the fifth minute.
Mohamad Salah then turned provider for Netherland’s Virgil Van Dijk whose shot found the left bottom corner eight minutes before the break.
After a 2-0 half-time lead, Aston Villa restarted strongly. Ollie Watkins’s goal was disallowed for offside immediately from the kickoff.
Douglas Luiz’s Cross a minute before the hour mark was then converted by Ollie Watkins as Villa sought to find their way into the game.
Aston Villa’s late press was not enough as substitute Stefan Bajcetic scored his first English Premier League goal to extend Liverpool’s advantage in the 81st minute.
Liverpool held on to record only their seventh league victory of the season and their second on the road.
