Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points with a 4-2 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday night.
The gunners entered the encounter knowing fully well that a win would take them to a seven points lead at the top of the English Premier League after second place Manchester City failed to beat Everton earlier in the day.

Martin Ødegaard then scored his 8th of the second, profiting from Brighton’s poor clearance after an Arsenal corner as the London side went into the break with a 2-0 advantage.
Eddie Nketiah made it 3-0 to the Arsenal shortly after the second half kick off, the English man pounced into Brighton’s goalkeeper poor clearance in the 48th minute.
Mitoma pulled one back fro Brighton five minutes after the hour mark as the host push to half of he deficit. Gabriel Martinelli scored from a quick transition as Arsenal went into a 4-1 lead six minutes later.
Brighton half the deficit 4-2 through Irishman Evans Ferguson 13 minutes before time as their late push wasn’t enough to stop Arsenal from claiming all three points.
