Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi has said his lips are sealed and so he is unable to speak on the many malpractices prevalent at the polls.
Speaking on an interview on Arise TV, the Minister of Transport said his lawyer has told him not to speak up else his life will be at risk.
Amaechi added that the poorly conducted 2023 elections is an evidence that the government has failed.
“I’ve been advised by my friends and lawyer to keep silent. After all, I am a member of the APC. I am not the President. The reason these things continue is because the poor man on the streets has refused to stone them… stone us,” he said.
ARISE TV: “What do you expect the people to do?”
AMAECHI: “Nothing. After all, what have they done before? They’ll continue to take it. One small boy will stay somewhere & write names; the police will just go & arrest them. I don’t want to talk again. My life could be at risk.”
