The spokesman of Labour Party, Kenneth Okonkwo has lashed out on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on national television.
The Nollywood actor appeared on Thursday’s edition of Channels TV’s Politics Today.
When asked to comment on the arrest of a man in Sokoto with over 100 PVCs, he said it is expected for a corrupt government to plant their agents in institutions like INEC to perpetrate their plans.
He cited Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s comments that, according to him, were made after the Osun State Governorship elections, noting that “only one person that said that the Electoral Act 2022 was going to destroy our democracy and the person is Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
As a direct message to Tinubu, Okonkwo said, “With profound respect sir, Electoral Act 2022 will not destroy our democracy. It will destroy the insatiable appetite of politicians ‘probably’ like you to manipulate our election.”
