Dino Melaye has disputed Nyesom Wike’s G-5 group’s significance in the just-concluded presidential election, contending that they cannot claim responsibility for Atiku Abubakar’s loss.
He claimed that, given their failure to win senate seats, the G-5 governors had no discernible influence on the election and could not claim responsibility for Atiku’s loss.
He further stated that Wike’s influence over the APC vote in Rivers was restricted to intimidation of INEC staff members and acts of thuggery.
In his words, Dino said: “G5 has no relevance in just concluded presidential election. The G5 who could not deliver themselves for their senate bid cannot be the ones claiming glory in Atiku’s loss. Even Wike outside thuggery and coercion of INEC officials had nothing to contribute to APC votes in Rivers”
