Record club champions of the world, Real Madrid swept the stakes as the curtain fell on the FIFA Club World Cup 2022 held in 2023 in Morocco.
Apart from strolling to pick their fifth title following a 5-3 defeat of Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, their Brazilian winger, Vinicius Junior emerged as the best player of the tournament.
The Brazilian forward won the adidas Golden Ball which is awarded to the best player by the FIFA Technical Study Group (TSG).
His team mate, Federico Valverde came second while Luciano Vietto of Al Hilal was third.
Not done yet, the crowd favourites, Real Madrid also got the FIFA Fair Play Trophy.
The Golden Ball was awarded to the best player in the World Cup based on a ranking compiled by the FIFA Technical Study Group.
A Silver Ball and a Bronze Ball will be awarded to the second and third best players.
