Presidential aspirant, Kingsley Moghalu has condemned the Federal Government’s decision mandating civil servants to close from work by 1pm on Tuesday in order to support Nigeria in the qualifying match against Ghana.
Moghalu, a former Central Bank deputy governor and a political economist, said this on Monday on his twitter handle.
In a rhetorical rant, he said, “I love @NGSuperEagles and support them. But, isn’t this going overboard? What about the hours of potential productivity that will be lost by closing down the civil service at 1 pm tomorrow for the purpose of a football match? How productive are our civil servants anyway?

The Super Eagles are hoping to beat a well organised Ghana side to book their place at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
