Chelsea have reached full agreement with defender Thiago Silva on a new contract until 2024.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the south London club is set to extend the Brazilian international captain’s contract by a year and the half.

“Verbal agreement completed on new deal valid until June 2024, Thiago set to stay at Chelsea.

It will be signed soon as Silva will be one of the leaders of the Chelsea squad on and off the pitch in 2023/2024.”

The defender who will turn 39 years old I’m September this year, joined the blues from French side Paris Saint Germain in 2020 and has since then played over 74 games for the club, winning the UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup in his three years stay at Stamford bridge.
