Chelsea are in talks to sign Midfielder, Enzo Fernandez from Portuguese Club Benfica on a reported €120m fee.
The 21-year-old was voted young player of the tournament at the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Qatar after helping his country Argentina to their third World Cup crown.
According to top and reliable Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are now in direct contact with the player’s club. Fabrizio also stated that the English Premier League club is ready to pay a huge few to get the player.

He also confirmed that Liverpool or Manchester United have not made any bid yet.

Enzo Fernandez joined Benfica from Argentine giants River Plate last summer, since joining Benfica, he has gone on to play for the Portuguese side in 13 occasions, scoring just once and proving three assist for his teammates.
He was also on target for Argentina at the FIFA World Cup, his goal on the 87th minute after coming as a sub helped Argentina to a 2-0 victory against Mexico in their second group stage match.
