Manchester United defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 to progress into the final of carabao cup on Wednesday night.
Erik Ten Hag’s men held a 3-0 lead heading into the second leg having emerged from the City Ground with a 3-0 victory against Forest in the first leg last week.
The home side are heavy favorites to progress after Marcus Rashford, Wout Weghorst and Bruno Fernandes scored in the first leg to ensure a stylish win away from home.
Manchester United headed for the half-time interval having been unable to find the breakthrough against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford in the deciding leg of the League Cup semi-final.
After searching for an opener, substitute Antonio Martial then gave the home side the lead in the 73rd minute.
Fred then put the game beyond reach for the away side three minutes later to extend Manchester United’s lead and ensured their passage into wembley.
The win means the final is between Manchester United and Newcastle who defeated Southampton in the other semi-final on Tuesday.
