Nigerian Afrobeats superstar – Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu (Burna Boy) has emerged as the most-streamed artiste on the music streaming platform, Boomplay for the year 2022.
The Portharcourt-born singer leads the chart as the musician with the most streamed album (Love, Damini) with Asake (MMWTV) and Kizz Daniel (Barnabas) behind him as second and third respectively.
“Love, Damini” is also the fastest-growing project on the streaming platform, amassing 300 million streams in just over four months since the release, thereby becoming the first ever project to collate such numbers on Boomplay, invariably making the album the most streamed on the music listening platform.
Boomolay’s recap now takes Burna’s steaming bragging right to three, after Spotify and Apple Music named him the most listened-to artiste from the nation a few days back.
In addition to dominating the streaming platforms, Burna Boy will be wrapping up 2022 with two Grammy nominations for World Album and Global Song of the year.
