Nigerian superstar —Damini Ebunolwa Ogulu professionally known as Burna Boy, has cleared the misconception of him having a candidate amongst those vying to be the nation’s next president.
This is coming as a result of outbursts from fans who has called the self-proclaimed African Giant out for shying away from intervening in the 2023 electioneering processes.
Recall that Burna took to his Instagram account yesterday, issuing a warning to INEC to let Nigerians decide, and not tamper with the results.
However, that didn’t sit well with some Nigerians, as they felt Burna Boy should be doing more, especially as his music often touches on the plight of Nigerians and many expected him to be more vocal during the electoral process.
Taking to his IG a few minutes ago, Burna expressed his dissatisfaction with the issues of some Nigerians with the fact that he isn’t vocal about the election.
The Grammy award winner cleared the air that he’s never for once believed in or supported a political candidate and party in the country, so he doesn’t see any reason why he should influence his fans in voting for anyone, as he doesn’t want the backlash to land on him, peradventure the candidate gets elected and fumbles.
After stating that, Burna went on to express his optimism over a positive vote-counting process, whilst hoping that the best man wins.
