On Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari wrote to the Senate to seek that the honourable body approves a new loan request for $800 million.
President Buhari stated in a letter that the loan will come from the World Bank and that it would be used to expand the National Social Safety Net Programme. The letter was read by the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan.
This development is coming with less than 18 days left for President in office.
