President Muhammadu Buhari met with all the cleared All Progressives Congress presidential aspirants at the State House on Saturday.Those cleared are Badaru Abubakar, Jigawa governor; Godswill Akpabio, former Akwa Ibom governor; Rotimi Amaechi, former Rivers governor; Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun senator; Yahaya Bello, Kogi governor; Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti governor; Tein Jack-Rich, businessman; Ahmad Lawan, Senate President; Emeka Nwajiuba, former junior minister; Ogbonnaya Onu, former science and technology minister, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu and Ebonyi Governor David Umahi.In the late night meeting, the president charged the aspirants to hold discussions and come up with a consensus candidate before Monday’s primaries.Buhari said with 2023 approaching, the party should become more aware of the changing environment, be responsive to the yearnings of citizens, re-evaluate strategy and strengthen internal mechanisms.Photostory of the Meeting:
