Manchester United visited Brentford on Saturday evening hoping to bounce back from their opening day defeat by Brighton and Hove Albion.
But if their opening day defeat at Old Trafford was poor, this was far worse.
This was the third time in 3 years the Red Devils conceded four goals in the first half of a Premier League match, with Tottenham and Liverpool being the other two.
Goals from Dasilva(10′), Jensen (18′), Mee(30′) and Mbuemo(35) were enough to hand Erik ten Hag’s team their seventh consecutive Premier League defeat.
Erik ten Hag is the first Manchester United manager to lose his opening two league games in 20 years. This was also the first time Brentford beat Manchester United since 1938.
Most goals conceded away from home in the Premier League in 2022:
◉ 27 – Manchester United
◎ 27 – Everton
◎ 26 – Southampton
Manchester United have lost seven consecutive away games for the first time since 1936.
