Angelique Kidjo’s Mother Nature has won “Best Global Music Album” at the 64th Grammy Award in Las Vegas, ahead of Wizkid’s Made In Lagos deluxe.
She is from Benin and she is a 4-time Grammy Award winner.
Her 2021 album, Mother Nature, was nominated in the same category with Wizkid’s Made In Lagos, the Best Global Music Album category.
On Mother Nature, Angélique Kidjo featured Nigerian artistes Burna Boy, Mr Eazi and Yemi Alade.
Again, Angelique kidjo was nominated in the Best Global Music Performance, making it two nominations (the same categories Wizkid is nominated). Her song off Mother Nature titled “Do Yourself,” which featured Nigerian Grammy award winner Burna Boy, is nominated for Best Global Music Performance.
Wizkid, who is a one time Grammy Award winner, was nominated in two categories at the 64th Grammy Award.
Made In Lagos was nominated in the Best Global Album category, and Essence is in the Best Global Music Performance category.
