AFC Bournemouth have become the first English Premier League side to sack their manager this season.Scott Parker is that manager. The Fulham Fulham midfielder managed to lead the club back into the Premier League last season, doing so automatically as Bournemouth finished second in the Championship behind his former side, Fulham. The English man was given a tough opening four games, which would prove to be his bane. After beating Steven Gerard’s Aston Villa in the opening weekend, he had the mountainous task of beating three of the top six sides in the form of Arsenal, Manchester City who won the League last term and Liverpool. As it would be expected, he lost all three games, with the latest one, against Liverpool at Anfield being the final nail in the coffin. They lost 9:0, in case you missed it.His sacking has brought up an interesting statistic.Scott Parker is the sixth manager to lose his job after losing to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the Premier League after Francesco Guidolin (2016), Slaven Bilic (2017), Slavisa Jokanovic (2018), Jose Mourinho (2018) and Marco Silva (2019).
