For the first time since losing the election, Bankole Wellington, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Eti Osa Federal House of Representatives seat, also known by his stage name “Banky W,” has finally addressed the public.
Recall that Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party unexpectedly defeated Banky W to win the representative seat in the February 25th polls.
Banky W shared a video of himself at a church service on Sunday in which he expressed his profound disappointment at the outcome of the election.
In the video, the singer claimed that in anticipation of his success, he had made numerous arrangements, such as setting up a Sunday thanksgiving programme and looking for a flat and office in Abuja.
Even though it’s natural to feel hurt in such situations, Banky W admitted his disappointment and said that his faith in God has strengthened him.
Captioning a snippet of the video on IG, he wrote, “For anyone who’s ever suffered through a loss, a disappointment or a situation where things just didn’t work out the way you hoped… “Faith after a Fall” is for you. For me. For all of us. Please watch this and share if you feel compelled.”
