The governorship candidates of opposition political parties in Lagos State have kicked against the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to engage the services of the Parks Management Committee, PMC, led by Musiliu Akinsanya otherwise known as MC Oluomo, for the distribution of electoral materials during the forthcoming general election. A tanker has exploded in flames following a crash in the Ogun State area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway between Fidiwo bridge and Foursquare causing traffic. The unregistered tanker reportedly exploded around 7:30am on Friday morning. The Ogun State Federal Road Safety Corps spokesperson, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident, adding that three persons were involved in the accident but no death or injury was recorded. A student of the University of Cross River State was on Thursday afternoon shot dead by unidentified gunmen on the Calabar campus of the university. The Nigeria Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a broker licence to Bamboo SSEC issues digital broker licence to Bambooystems Technology Limited. The firm, in a statement on Thursday, said the licence would permit it to carry out tasks in the Nigerian capital market and include Nigerian securities on its platform. The Kano State Government on Thursday evening filed a suit against the Federal Government at the Supreme Court in respect of the naira redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
