Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has called the Federal Government’s claim that Nigeria gulps 70 million litres of fuel/day fraudulent. Saraki who hails from Kwara State said 30 million to 40 million/day is more like it. The ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, has announced an extension to the already month old warning strike embarked upon by the Union. The Union arrived at the decision to extend the strike by a further 8 weeks after they failed to reach an agreement with the Federal Government delegation in Abuja last week. Osodeke described as heartless and mindless the Nigerian leaders for failing to duly fund education in the country. The Federal House of Representatives has called on the Central Bank of Nigeria to regulate the operations of Point of Sale (POS) business in the country.
