The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have nabbed no fewer than 7 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos. The Commission listed the names of the suspects to be Sulaiman Ademola, Okechukwu Ndubuisi Prince, Sunday Carson Kingsley, Ikpeh Godwin Igojuju, Shile Temiloluwa Abiodun, Agboh Daniel and Nice Tom Eweh. According to EFCC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, they were arrested No. 1 Gideon Obhakhan Close, Therra Annex, Sangotedo, Lagos on Thursday after a credible intelligence. “Upon their arrest, two exotic vehicles, laptop computers and mobile devices were recovered from them. “The suspects will be charged to court once investigations are concluded,” he said.

The abductors of Prof. Ovaborhene Idamoyibo of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka have requested N50 million ransom be paid for his release. The Supreme Court on Wednesday, 13 April, 2022, affirmed the six years jail term imposed on a former Assistant Director in the Police Pension Office, John Yakubu Yusuf, who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over a Twenty –two Billion, Nine Hundred Million Naira (N22.9b) fraud.
