United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has commended Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State over his approach in the fight against terrorism in the state. Guterres particularly praised Zulum’s determination to address the root causes of Boko Haram. The police in the Federal Capital Territory have nabbed the husband of the corp member that was found dead a week ago in Abuja. A Mr. Terungwa Edward Achado and others were arrested together with two persons in connection with the murder of Terungwa Stephanie Seember. The deceased went missing on 14th April, after she left home on that day for her community development service (CDS). The Nigerian Army, has vowed that perpetrators of the “dastardly, despicable and barbaric” killing of two soldiers, Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Audu M Linus (retired) and Private(Pte)Gloria Matthew, will not go unpunished. The army made the vow in a strongly worded statement issued on Tuesday by its Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, while condemning the gruesome killing of the two soldiers.
