Former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential aspirant, Peter Obi has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Obi disclosed his resignation in a letter addressed to the leadership of the PDP in Abuja. Obi, who had gone round the country to seek the support of delegates for the presidential primary of the PDP, pulled out less than 72 hours to the contest. Jurgen Klopp has been named the Premier League Manager of the Season. The announcement of the accolade for Klopp was made at the 30th annual League Managers Association (LMA) Awards dinner. Liverpool finished second on the log, with just a point behind Manchester City. Justice Muhammed Sani of the Federal High Court sitting in Ilorin, on Monday, May 23, 2022 convicted a certain fraudster, better known as “Yahoo Boy”, Ajewole Oluseyi David, based in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, for offences bordering on internet fraud. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has explained why it’s operatives stormed the Maitama, Abuja home of a former governor of Imo state, Senator Rochas Okorocha earlier on Tuesday. In a statement issued on Tuesday evening by the Spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, it said its operatives were at the home of Okorocha to effect his arrest. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has received the gift of a life crocodile from the National Rubber Producers, Processors and Marketing Association of Nigeria, NARPPMAN in Osun State. Obasanjo received the gift shortly after a closed door meeting with members of the association at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday stormed the residence of former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha in Abuja. The EFCC team stormed the residence of the former governor in the Maitama area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to arrest him. A video has surfaced online of the moment a yet-to-be identified elderly woman was caught stealing money sprayed on a celebrant at an event. The event was said to have taken place over the weekend.
