Operatives of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 19 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation in Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital. EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday. The statement said the suspects were smoked out of their hideouts by the eagle-eyed operatives of the EFCC over the weekend following credible intelligence on their fraudulent activities. Nigerian Singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger has called on Nigerians to acquire guns for personal protection amid the insecurity in the country. The son of late MKO Abiola, Kola Abiola has won the presidential primary elections of the Peoples Redemption Party(PRP). Kola who is the first son of the late MKO Abiola, defeated Usman Bugaje, Patience Key, and Gboluga Mosugum, a retired colonel, to pick the PRP ticket. Abiola secured 2,097 votes, while Bugaje came second with 813 votes, Key had 329 and Mosugu polled 263 votes. It was a bloody Sunday in Ondo when 28 worshipers were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen. The attack was carried out at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, the headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State. Many others were left injured, as they were rushed to the hospital.
