At least one person died, while another sustained injuries when a building collapsed in Kano on Tuesday. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the building which was under construction is a storey building. Speaking to newsmen, the Kano Territorial Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Dr Nuradeen Abdullahi, confirmed the incident and said NEMA operatives had already been mobilised to the site of the incident. He added that the debris was still being combed in search for more victims of the collapse.

One Isah Baba-Buji, an APC delegate from Jigawa State has slumped and died in Abuja. It was gathered that Mr. Isah was having his breakfast in the morning, while preparing to go to the venue of the primaries when he suddenly slumped and died. It was later confirmed that he died of heart failure. His remains will be conveyed back to Jigawa State to be buried according to Islamic rites. According to Jigawa State APC Spokesperson, Bashir Kundu, the deceased was the Deputy APC Chairman for Jigawa State.

Two persons have been killed in a Benue State village, while on the way back from their farms. The deceased whose names were given as Bem Uhembe and Mungwa Zuzu, hail from Tse Ibor village and were returning to Ikyungwa Tombo Ward, near Ayilamo community in Logo Local Government Area. The man and woman who were killed went to farm elsewhere due to their farms being taken over by herders. Their remains were deposited at a morgue in Ayilamo. The police PRO, Catherine Anene said she was yet to get notice of the killings.
