The Independent National Electoral Commission has extended the continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise by 60 days. This was confirmed by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Electoral Matters, Aishatu Jibril Dukku while briefing fellow lawmakers on the committee’s efforts to ensure the implementation of a House resolution reached last week. President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed why he failed to sanction Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele, after the later engaged in politics. Buhari had told his Ministers and other cabinet members who showed interest in the forthcoming election to resign, but failed to extend the order to the CBN Governor.
