Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala clinched the CAF Women’s Award for 2022 yesterday at a ceremony held in Rabat. The 27-year-old Barcelona forward helped the Spanish side win the La Liga women League last season. The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board(JAMB) has approved a new set of scores as cut-off marks into Nigerian higher institutions of learning. The Board approved 140 as cut off mark for universities. While 100 is now the official cut-off mark for those seeking admission into polytechnics and colleges of education. This was the decision taken at the 2022 Policy meeting on Admissions presided over by the Minister of Education in Abuja. Tech giant, Google has released the list of the top most searched personalities, music, movies, high profile deaths as well as sports in the first quarter of 2022. Mr Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, Communications and Public Relations Manager, Google West Africa, disclosed this on Thursday. A Jos-based broadcaster, Caleb Senda has narrated how a friend of his paid a Hundred Thousand Naira (100k) to secure a job, only to get the shock of his life. On Tuesday, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) submitted exhibits to an Abuja High Court, linking former Deputy Commissioner of Police(DCP), Abba Kyari to drug trafficking offences. The exhibits submitted included $61, 400(N25, 505, 560) and 24 packs of cocaine. According to the NDLEA, $61, 400 is the alleged amount he(Kyari) used in bribing the NDLEA officers who nabbed him, whilst the 24 packs of cocaine were at the crux of the trial. Over seventeen teenagers and young men supposedly in their early 20s, have been arrested for impersonating Peter Okoye of the P-Square. According to the Musician, the suspects were arrested in relation to a fake account they have created where they have been defrauding people of their monies. Justice Musa Mustapha of the Borno State High Court, Maiduguri on Wednesday, convicted and sentenced one Tijjani Mohammed Bulama to six month imprisonment on a one count amended charge of criminal misappropriation. Bulama, a Point of Sale, POS operator, was prosecuted by the Maiduguri Zonal Command of the EFCC, following his investigation for criminally diverting the sum of N1.5m which a customer had asked him to transfer to another recipient.
